Skills and Competencies
- 2 to 5 years of experience in data management data quality data governance or related analytical functions
- Strong knowledge of structured finance products including Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities Asset-Backed Securities Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities and Collateralized Loan Obligations
- Experience working with data acquisition validation enrichment cleansing and Master Data Management initiatives
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to analyze transform and manage large datasets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including root cause analysis and process improvement
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across global and cross-functional teams
- Experience with Python VBA automation or scripting tools is preferred
- Knowledge of project management practices and software development lifecycle methodologies is preferred
Education
- Bachelors degree in Business Finance Economics Data Management Information Systems Computer Science or a related field required/ MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Support the acquisition management governance and quality of structured finance data to enable downstream products analytics and business growth
- Manage the end-to-end production lifecycle for structured finance datasets including agency and non-agency residential mortgage-backed securities asset-backed securities commercial mortgage-backed securities and collateralized debt obligations
- Acquire validate transform and maintain data to support analytics products and operational processes.
- Monitor data quality investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions to ensure data accuracy consistency and completeness
- Coordinate vendor operations by managing submissions resolving inquiries defining requirements establishing acceptance criteria and approving deliverables
- Partner with Data Operations and Development teams to prioritize requirements create and track work items and support production activities
- Establish and maintain structured asset data governance processes standards and controls
- Lead initiatives focused on data cleansing enrichment and process optimization to improve operational efficiency and data integrity
- Contribute to enterprise-wide data quality and Master Data Management initiatives
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies tools and best practices that enhance data management capabilities
- Support cross-functional stakeholders through analysis reporting and continuous improvement efforts

Our Content Solutions - Structured Finance team is responsible for acquiring managing and delivering high-quality structured finance data that powers Moodys analytics solutions and client offerings
