Job Title: Lead Engineer

Job Location: Chennai

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Create and optimize plastic laser welding procedures for automotive ECUs sensors actuators connections and housings.
• Define test and industrialize processes during New Product Introduction.
• Set welding settings such laser power speed focus clamping force and material compatibility.
• Seal functional and cosmetic-critical components need strong welds.
• Perform process validation and documentation (APQP PFMEA Control Plan PPAP).
• Fix production difficulties such weld strength leakage cosmetic faults warpage and particulate contamination.
• DFM and DFA compliance requires collaboration with design tooling automation quality and suppliers.
• Help integrate automation inline inspection (vision leak testing) and cycle time optimization.
• Ensure IATF 16949 ISO 9001 compliance.
• Implement yield cost and process capability (Cp/Cpk) continuous improvement efforts.
• Meet laser safety EHS and internal production standards.
• Maintain internal and external audits and customer technical reviews.
