Job Summary:

The Laser Cutting Drawing Design Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate and production

ready drawings for laser cutting operations. The role involves converting design requirements into

detailed 2D/3D drawings nesting layouts and coordinating with production and quality teams to

ensure efficient and error-free manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare laser cutting drawings as per customer specifications project requirements and

manufacturing standards.

Convert hand sketches CAD models or technical inputs into detailed cutting drawings.

Create nesting layouts to optimize material usage and reduce scrap.

Ensure all drawings are accurate dimensionally correct and suitable for production.

Coordinate with the production team to resolve drawing or fabrication issues.

Maintain drawing records revisions and documentation as per company standards.

Review and check drawings before releasing them to the shop floor.

Ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances.

Support the estimation team with drawing-related inputs if required.

Work closely with the sales project and quality teams for design modifications.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Proficiency in AutoCAD SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

Knowledge of laser cutting processes and sheet metal fabrication.

Understanding of materials tolerances and manufacturing techniques.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good coordination and communication skills.

Problem-solving and time-management abilities.

Educational Qualification:

Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience:

1 to 4 years of experience in laser cutting sheet metal design or fabrication drawings.
