Job Summary
Role Overview
Accenture is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our Finance team in Bengaluru. This role is ideal for professionals with 12 years of accounting experience who possess a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and are eager to contribute in a dynamic process-driven environment.
As a Junior Accountant you will support daily accounting operations maintain financial records assist with reconciliations ensure compliance with accounting standards and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and record day-to-day accounting transactions accurately.
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting policies.
- Perform bank vendor customer and general ledger reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursement claims.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist in Accounts Payable (AP) Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL) activities.
- Support GST TDS and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Assist internal and external auditors by providing required financial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce () Mandatory.
- 12 years of experience in Accounting Finance Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable or General Ledger.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP Pivot Tables IF functions data analysis).
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP Oracle or similar accounting software.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Good to Have
- Experience in a shared services BPO or multinational organization.
- Knowledge of SAP FICO or Oracle Financials.
- Basic understanding of GST TDS and statutory compliance.
- Familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Exposure to process improvement initiatives.
