Java Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a Java Developer with 1–2 years of experience to join our development team. The candidate will be responsible for developing maintaining and supporting Java-based applications and REST APIs. The role involves working closely with senior developers business teams and infrastructure teams to deliver secure scalable and reliable applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Design develop and integrate RESTful APIs.

- Write clean maintainable and reusable code following coding standards.

- Work with databases such as MySQL Oracle or PostgreSQL.

- Write SQL queries stored procedures and perform basic database operations.

- Perform unit testing debugging and troubleshooting of application issues.

- Integrate applications with external/internal APIs and services.

- Work with JSON XML HTTP/HTTPS and API authentication mechanisms.

- Participate in code reviews and address code-quality issues.

- Support application deployments across development UAT and production environments.

- Analyze production issues and provide fixes within defined timelines.

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

- Collaborate with DevOps QA business and other technical teams.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong fundamentals in Core Java.

- Good understanding of OOP concepts collections exception handling and multithreading basics.

- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot.

- Knowledge of Spring MVC / Spring REST.

- Experience developing REST APIs.

- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

- Familiarity with Git/GitLab.

- Understanding of Maven/Gradle.

- Basic knowledge of Docker and CI/CD is an advantage.

- Basic understanding of Linux/Unix commands.

- Understanding of application security concepts such as authentication authorization and secure API development.

Good to Have

- Experience with microservices architecture.

- Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems.

- Experience with Redis or caching mechanisms.

- Basic knowledge of AWS/GCP.

- Experience working with Kubernetes/OpenShift.

- Exposure to monitoring/logging tools.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field.
