Position: IR & Compliance Lead

Location: Cochin

Qualification: MBA (HR) / MSW / PGDM in HR or Industrial Relations.

Experience: 10 years of relevant experience in Industrial Relations Factory HR Operations Labour Laws and Statutory Compliance. Strong hands-on experience in unionized manufacturing environments. Experience in managing labour law compliance across multiple locations will be an advantage. Exposure to manufacturing / FMCG industries is preferred.

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced IR & Compliance Lead to manage Industrial Relations and Factory HR at our Kochi plant and lead Labour Law & Statutory Compliance across India.
The role will focus on union management wage settlements employee relations labour compliance contract workforce management government liaisoning and factory administration.

Key Responsibilities:
Industrial Relations & Factory HR
- Manage day-to-day Industrial Relations and union activities at the Kochi plant.
- Handle employee grievances disciplinary cases and domestic enquiries.
- Lead Long-Term Settlement (LTS) and wage negotiations.
- Ensure implementation of settlement terms.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Support workforce planning and manpower cost management.
Labour Compliance
- Act as the Pan-India Labour Compliance SME.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour and factory laws.
- Drive implementation of new Labour Codes and regulatory changes.
- Conduct HR and compliance audits and close identified gaps.
- Monitor statutory returns licences registrations and renewals.
- Advise HR teams and business leaders on compliance matters.
Contract Workforce
- Manage contract labour deployment and workforce planning.
- Ensure contractor compliance with applicable laws.
- Conduct contractor audits and monitor performance.
- Manage contractor billing and reconciliation.
Government & Factory Administration
- Coordinate with government authorities and local stakeholders.
- Handle statutory inspections notices audits and approvals.
- Manage security housekeeping canteen transportation and other factory services.
- Work with EHS teams to maintain safe and healthy working conditions.
- Manage vendors and control administrative costs.

Requirements:
- Strong experience in unionized manufacturing environments.
- Experience in union negotiations and wage/LTS settlements.
- Good knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Experience handling contract labour and government authorities.
- Strong communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
