Indirect Sourcing Sr Buying Specialist

The Indirect Sourcing Senior Buying Specialist will be responsible for indirect procurement for Cargills Animal Nutrition and Health (ANH) plants in India and Sri Lanka.

The role will include sourcing materials related to opex commercial marketing HR corporate material and services and small portions of chemicals used in the production site.
The role will interact with internal customers (plant production commercial) and external sourcing vendors.
Develop best value supplier - Sourcing Developing and Onboarding.
Identify Cost Saving Strategies through negotiation and implementation.
Forecasting price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power; conducting cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking.
Execute medium and highly complex sourcing events.
Drive the implementation of regional sourcing decisions.
Sharing market Insights with relevant stakeholders for taking strategic decisions.
Provide inputs to the regional category team for category strategy development and execution.
Provide comprehensive understanding of regional stakeholders and procurement landscape.
Monitor continuous regional supplier and stakeholder relationships.
Follow established procedures to select suppliers for procurement of noncontracted materials goods services and supplies.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in engineering from National Institute of Technology.
Minimum of two years of related work experience.
Other minimum qualifications may apply.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
At least 4 years of experience in an indirect procurement role within the Fertilizer or FMCG or ANH or Agriculture sector.
Strong negotiation skills experience in vendor management and cost saving techniques.
Build partnerships and collaborate with others to meet shared objectives.
Ability to make sense of complex high-quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
