Job Description

IBMi Admin SME

Band exp 7 to 10 years

Notice- Immediate joiner

Location- HYD/ Pune/ Bangalore

JD for this GCB5 Equivalent position and share good profiles who have strong knowledge on IBMi Admin SME level support to work on 24*7 environment.

IBM i (AS/400) Administrator at GCB5-equivalent level owning end-to-end platform operations across LPARs PTFs and capacity/performance management.

Deep operational expertise in storage and availability: ASP/IASP management BRMS backups/restores HA/DR readiness and regular recovery testing with clear RTO/RPO focus.

Proven production support capability: job/queue management subsystem tuning spool/output control IPL planning and proactive monitoring to prevent incidents.

Experienced in Role Swap activities (HA switchovers/failbacks) including runbook execution validation checks stakeholder comms and post-activity stabilization.

Strong crisis handling during P1/P2 incidents: rapid triage impact assessment structured troubleshooting vendor engagement and disciplined problem management through to RCA.

Acts as Technical SME and mentor to Production Support teamscoaching on diagnostics best practices and building reusable knowledge articles/runbooks.

Comfortable working 24x7 shift schedules and on-call rotations with a get it done mindset and clear handovers to maintain service continuity.

Mandatory Skills: IBM HTTP Server.

Experience: 5-8 Years.
