Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced AS400 / IBM i Developer with strong hands-on experience in application development maintenance database programming and production support. The candidate should be proficient in RPG IV/RPGLE CLLE SQLRPGLE DB2/400 and related IBM i technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop test and maintain applications on the IBM AS400 (IBM i) platform.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Develop and modify programs using RPG IV RPGLE CLLE and SQLRPGLE.
Work with COBOL programs where applicable.
Create maintain and optimize database objects using DB2/400.
Develop and optimize embedded SQL queries for improved application performance.
Perform unit testing and system testing and support UAT activities.
Troubleshoot application and production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Perform code analysis debugging maintenance and performance tuning.
Collaborate with functional teams and other technical teams to understand requirements and resolve issues.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to applications and programs.
Mandatory / Essential Skills
6-8 years of experience in AS400 / IBM i development.
Strong hands-on experience with RPG IV / RPGLE.
Good knowledge of CLLE / CL programming.
Strong experience with SQLRPGLE and embedded SQL.
Hands-on experience with DB2/400.
Strong understanding of AS400 / IBM i application development and maintenance.
Experience in production support and troubleshooting.
Good understanding of software development and testing processes.
