Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Design plan and deliver engaging IB Psychology lessons aligned with the IB Diploma Programme curriculum and assessment criteria.
  • Prepare and grade internal assessments extended essays and examinations providing constructive feedback to support student growth.
  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking ethical inquiry and intercultural understanding.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (e.g. Biology Sociology Philosophy) to integrate crosssubject projects and research.
  • Mentor and advise students on university applications career pathways and extracurricular opportunities related to psychology.
  • Participate in regular staff development sessions curriculum reviews and school-wide events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress attendance and extracurricular involvement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies particularly those affecting the IB and Cambridge programmes.
Essential Qualifications
  • Masters degree or higher in Psychology Education or a closely related discipline.
  • IB Psychology teaching certification (IB Diploma Programme) or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Strong command of the IB curriculum framework assessment standards and learner profile attributes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to create inclusive studentcentred learning experiences.
Desired Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching IB Psychology at the Diploma level.
  • Experience with Cambridge AS/ALevel Psychology is a plus.
  • Familiarity with international student cohorts and multicultural classroom settings.
  • Proven track record of guiding students to achieve high IB scores and university placements.
  • Experience in coordinating or supporting Olympiad programmes (e.g. AMC CEMC) is advantageous.
