Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging curriculumaligned lessons for IB Physics (Standard Level and Higher Level).
- Prepare and grade assignments lab reports and internal assessments with timely feedback.
- Conduct regular revision sessions and examtechnique workshops to maximize student performance.
- Develop and adapt teaching materials including practical lab activities digital resources and inquirybased projects.
- Provide oneonone tutoring and mentorship for students needing additional support.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members to ensure interdisciplinary coherence and share best teaching practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates to parents/guardians as needed.
- Participate in professional development programs staff meetings and curriculum reviews.
- Uphold Pi Vectors educational standards code of conduct and commitment to student wellbeing.
Essential Qualifications
- Masters degree or higher in Physics Applied Physics or a closely related field.
- IB Physics teaching certification (e.g. IB Teacher Training IGCSE/IB examiner experience) is mandatory.
- Deep understanding of the IB Physics syllabus assessment criteria and laboratory components.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple student groups.
Desired Experience
- Minimum 23 years of experience teaching IB Physics at the secondary or preuniversity level.
- Experience preparing students for IB examinations including extended essay supervision and internal assessment guidance.
- Familiarity with Cambridge AS/ALevels physics curriculum (advantageous).
- Background in coaching or mentoring students for Olympiad competitions such as AMC CEMC or UKMT.
- Proficiency with virtual learning platforms and digital assessment tools.
