Job Summary

About Client - They are building next-generation biotechnology platforms powered by synthetic biology precision fermentation metabolic engineering and advanced bioprocessing. We are developing scalable sustainable and commercially viable bio-based products for global markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition & Management

  • Lead end-to-end hiring for both white-collar (R&D scientists quality assurance) and blue-collar (plant operations manufacturing warehouse) roles.
  • Manage sourcing screening interviews and seamless onboarding to support facility growth.
  • Design and implement a structured performance appraisal framework aligned with research and production goals.

2. Compliance & Industrial Relations

  • Ensure strict adherence to Indian labor laws and specific factory acts applicable to biotech/pharma manufacturing (PF ESIC CLRA Shops & Establishments TDS).
  • Handle audits government inspections and statutory registers.
  • Maintain healthy industrial/employee relations across office lab and plant teams.

3. Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Oversee end-to-end monthly payroll processing for all categories of employees.
  • Manage employee records contracts leaves and benefits.

4. Policy Development & Culture

  • Draft implement and continuously improve HR policies SOPs and employee manuals.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a safe inclusive and highly compliant work culture.

Qualifications Required

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: 8 years of proven HR generalist experience. Prior exposure to manufacturing biotech or pharmaceutical setups is highly preferred.
  • Skills Required: In-depth knowledge of statutory compliance strong grievance redressal solid interpersonal skills and proficiency in MS Office/HRIS systems.
