We are looking for an experienced Color Stone Grader to evaluate and grade colored gemstones based on quality authenticity and established grading standards.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate color hue tone saturation clarity cut polish symmetry and transparency
Identify gemstones such as Ruby Sapphire Emerald Amethyst Topaz Tourmaline Garnet Tanzanite and Aquamarine
Detect inclusions fractures treatments and quality characteristics
Identify signs of heat treatment filling dyeing irradiation and diffusion
Examine gemstones using appropriate lighting and magnification
Sort and categorize stones based on quality size color and commercial value
Maintain accurate grading records and documentation
Coordinate with Production QC Purchase and Sales teams
Ensure consistent grading as per company standards
Handle gemstones carefully and follow security procedures
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of colored gemstones and their characteristics
Experience in gemstone grading/sorting
Excellent color differentiation and visual observation skills
Knowledge of treatments imitations and synthetics
Familiarity with loupe microscope refractometer polariscope and dichroscope is an advantage
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
