Job Summary

Client: A Leading Business Conglomerate in India


Key Responsibilities:


1. Strategic Supply Chain Leadership

Develop and execute long-term supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency reduce costs and improve service levels.

Align supply chain objectives with business goals ensuring scalability and sustainability.

Drive digital transformation (e.g. ERP AI IoT blockchain) to optimize demand forecasting inventory management and logistics.


2. Procurement & Supplier Management

Oversee strategic sourcing supplier selection and contract negotiations for raw materials equipment and services.

Ensure cost optimization while maintaining quality compliance and ethical sourcing standards.

Implement supplier risk management and diversification strategies to mitigate disruptions.


3. Logistics & Distribution Optimization

Lead end-to-end logistics operations including inbound/outbound transportation warehousing and last-mile delivery.

Optimize inventory control to balance working capital and service levels.

Leverage data analytics for route optimization freight cost reduction and sustainability initiatives.


4. Operational Excellence & Cost Control



Implement Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and improve process efficiency.

Monitor KPIs (OTIF inventory turns procurement savings) and drive continuous improvement.

Manage budgets cost models and hedging strategies for commodity price fluctuations.


5. Risk Management & Compliance



Develop business continuity plans to address supply chain disruptions (geopolitical natural disasters supplier failures).

Ensure compliance with industry regulations safety standards (e.g. ISO OSHA) and ESG commitments.


6. Stakeholder Collaboration



Partner with Production Sales Finance and R&D to align supply chain strategies with business needs.

7. Team Leadership & Development


Build and mentor a high-performing SCM team fostering innovation and accountability.

Promote a culture of collaboration agility and data-driven decision-making.


Desired Skills & Competencies:


In-depth knowledge of global supply chain trends trade regulations and tariffs.

Knowledge of different markets/continents like US Middle east Austria etc. their norms legal requirements vendor base.

Experience in ERP/SAP implementation and automation (e.g. robotic process automation).

Familiarity with hedging strategies for raw material price volatility (e.g. copper aluminium).

Certification in CSCP (APICS) CPIM or Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
