Role Overview Head of Engineering

Head Of Engineering is responsible for leading and scaling the engineering organization driving technical strategy ensuring high-quality product delivery and building a high-performing engineering team. The role requires a balance of technical leadership people management and strategic execution to support the company s product and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership

• Lead mentor and scale multiple engineering teams including Engineering Managers Tech Leads and Developers.
• Establish engineering best practices development standards and operational excellence.
• Drive a culture of innovation accountability and continuous improvement.

Technology Strategy

• Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies frameworks and tools.
• Ensure systems are scalable reliable secure and high performing.

Delivery & Execution

• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle (design development testing deployment and maintenance).
• Ensure timely delivery of engineering projects with high quality.
• Collaborate with Product Design Data and Business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

People Management

• Hire develop and retain top engineering talent.
• Build strong leadership pipelines within the engineering organization.
• Conduct performance management coaching and career development.

Operational Excellence

• Establish engineering metrics such as velocity reliability uptime quality and productivity.
• Drive improvements in DevOps CI/CD and automation.
• Ensure adherence to security compliance and coding standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with company strategy.
• Communicate technical vision progress and risks to leadership.
• Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition on engineering hiring strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• 12 15 years of experience in software engineering(Java fullstack / Golang) with 5 7 years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience managing large engineering teams and multiple engineering managers.
• Strong backend development expertise.
• Strong experience in system architecture distributed systems and scalable platforms.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure) and modern development practices.
