Job Summary

This pivotal role at WPP Media involves actively participating in and managing various audit processes including group internal audits and client audits (media financial rate benchmarking) audits.

Group Head will also contribute to operational and management review process audits and remediation with a strong focus on overall process streamlining and ensuring compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Audit Management

  • Support and actively participate in internal audits and client-facing audits covering media and financial reviews.
  • Assist with functional audits as directed by senior management.
  • Ensure all audit activities are conducted thoroughly on time and in full compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Compliance & Process Streamlining

  • Proactively manage and monitor organisational compliance across all relevant statutory internal and regulatory frameworks policies and guidance.
  • Identify inefficiencies and champion process streamlining initiatives to drive greater operational effectiveness across the business.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.

Data Preparation & Coordination

  • Own the end-to-end preparation organisation and management of data required for all audit activities.
  • Coordinate seamlessly across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate timely and complete information flows during audit cycles.
  • Distil complex and large-scale datasets into clear structured and actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

Remediation and Process Improvement

  • Contribute to the identification of operational gaps and control weaknesses through management review audits.
  • Develop and help implement practical sustainable remediation plans to address audit findings and close identified gaps.
  • Track progress against remediation actions reporting status to relevant stakeholders.

Proactive Audit Readiness & Early Warning Reporting

  • Maintain an anticipatory forward-looking approach to all ongoing and upcoming audit processes.
  • Conduct pre-audits and internal reviews proactively to surface potential issues before formal audit cycles begin.
  • Report Early Warning signals and key risk areas to relevant stakeholders in a timely and structured manner enabling early intervention.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience; OR
  • Semi-Qualified CA (CA Inter/IPCC cleared) with a minimum of 56 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience with a mid-size internal audit firm is strongly preferred.

Audit Expertise

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in internal audit process reviews and control improvement initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent audit workstreams with meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational discipline.

Industry Knowledge (Added Advantage)

  • Prior experience within a media agency or media investment organisation will be considered a significant differentiator enabling faster onboarding and stronger contextual judgement.

Technical Proficiency

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables formulas and data modelling); broader MS Office Suite competence required.
  • Strong capability in large-scale data analysis with the ability to work across complex datasets and translate them into clear refined and decision-ready insights.

Interpersonal & Communication Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present audit findings draft concise reports and interact confidently with senior stakeholders.
  • A demonstrated track record as a collaborative team player capable of working effectively across functions geographies and levels of seniority.
  • High degree of professional integrity discretion and sound judgement particularly when handling sensitive financial or compliance-related information.
