Job Responsibilities
  • Gather verify and report news stories from the field in realtime.
  • Conduct interviews with witnesses officials and experts ensuring accurate and balanced coverage.
  • Produce clear concise and engaging news scripts for broadcast and digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with editors producers and technical crews to deliver timely coverage.
  • Maintain ethical standards adhere to editorial guidelines and uphold BBCs commitment to impartiality.
  • Manage logistical arrangements for onsite reporting including travel equipment and safety protocols.
  • Continuously monitor news wires social media and local sources for breaking stories.
  • Provide live updates and commentary during major events emergencies or political developments.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Mass Communication or a related field.
  • Strong command of English (fluent speaking and writing) and Hindi.
  • Excellent verbal communication confidence and oncamera presence.
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and in highpressure environments.
  • Proficiency with basic reporting equipment (camera audio recorder mobile journalism tools).
Desired Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years and maximum of 2 years of professional reporting or journalism experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in field reporting story gathering and live broadcasting.
  • Successful track record of delivering accurate balanced news content.
