Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly talented engineer to join our Global Product Support (GPS) team.
Teams responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining expertlevel knowledge of our next generation & Legacy platforms and sub system.
  • Leading complex and systematic escalations together with cross functional design engineering team.
  • Delivering knowledge and methodologies to Applied Materials customer engineers worldwide ensuring improved tool health performance and stability
  • Representing the voice of the field in all engineering review discussions and activities
  • Developing new procedures and Best Known Methods (BKMs) & Internal Service Bulletin (ISB) to support new & legacy platform/ subsystems
  • Creating and maintaining procedures for Safety Startups Installation Calibration Troubleshooting and Maintenance.
  • Develop initial training package for new products and work with Global Technical Training (GTT) to develop training class.
  • Train Customer Engineers (CEs) Process Engineers (PSEs) and Technical Product Support (TPS) assigned to customers who will receive ELS Shipments prior to shipping.

Identify critical spares parts that require to be stocked by AGS and work with them to ensure parts are stocked in correct locations

Our Group

  • Provides expert-level support to semiconductor various Mainframes & sub systems.
  • Works closely with Engineering team on assigned technical projects.
  • Acts as an intermediary between customers and engineering team by providing technical support documentation and expertise to field engineers troubleshooting.

What youllbedoing

  • Participate in new build and first startups at customer sites.
  • Create and maintain hardware and service procedures for field use
  • Participate in Engineering development process and ensure all field aspects and serviceability requirements are incorporated.
  • Solve technical problems using established procedures engineering judgment and accumulated field experience.
  • Analyze information and apply best-known practices to make decisions and support escalations.

What you should have

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Electrical or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
  • 7-10 years of experience
  • Strong conceptual knowledge of engineering theories practices and procedures within your discipline
  • Ability to apply general business understanding from prior experience or education
  • Strong interpersonal skills: clear communication asking questions validating understanding
  • A proactive dedicated approach; team player; motivated to expand technical knowledge and drive databased decisions
  • Ability to work within standardized procedures to meet deadlines and team objectives
