Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement expertise in a cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.
Youll play a key role in leveraging Alstom Transports purchasing power to reduce total acquisition costs while ensuring alignment with quality delivery and engineering objectives. Day-to-day youll work closely with teams across the business (such as Sourcing Supplier Quality Supply Chain Legal Finance and Engineering) negotiate with suppliers and much more.
Youll specifically take care of supplier performance reviews and ensuring project execution aligns with QCD (Quality Cost Delivery) objectives but also support commodity strategies and represent commodities in projects.
Well look to you for:
Utilizing the supply panel defined by the Commodity Manager for new purchase orders
Deploying commodity strategies
Negotiating cost reductions with suppliers
Ensuring QCD targets CONQ (Cost of Non-Quality) and claims management
Leading supplier QCD performance reviews
Supporting commodity managers during tender phases
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to solve problems effectively
Applying Alstom Transports sourcing processes and providing feedback for continuous improvement

A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Material Management is a plus)
5-7 years of experience in direct procurement particularly in transport or automotive industries
Understanding of metallic and casting developments with manufacturing process knowledge
Knowledge of SAP and SAP ARIBA
Strong leadership communication and influencing skills
An international and multi-cultural mindset
Fluency in English
The ability to work in a matrix organization
Autonomy rigor and a customer-oriented approach
An agile responsible and continuous improvement mindset
