Global HR Technology Specialist Workday HCM Core & Absence Pune India Full-time

Your Role:

As a Global HR Technology Specialist Workday HCM Core & Absence you will be responsible for the day-to-day support administration and continuous improvement of Workday HCM Core and Absence processes within Vanderlandes Global HR Service Delivery model. Acting as the Tier 2 functional expert you will resolve complex Workday issues enhance operational efficiency and collaborate with HR Technology Consultants HR Operations ICT and global stakeholders to deliver stable compliant and user-friendly HR services.

What you will do/Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage Workday-related incidents service requests and inquiries ensuring resolution within agreed SLAs.

• Act as the Tier 2 escalation point for complex cases related to Workday HCM Core and Absence.

• Resolve issues involving employee data corrections rescinds cancellations organizational changes and cross-functional HR transactions.

• Perform specialist Workday activities including role management security-related support and complex employee lifecycle transactions.

• Support Workday operational stability while ensuring compliance with established service delivery processes.

• Monitor and maintain employee data quality within Workday.

• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement corrective improvements.

• Support Workday releases enhancements testing cycles hypercare activities and process improvements.

• Assist with system updates location creation help text maintenance and approved configuration changes.

• Drive Shift Left initiatives by transitioning appropriate activities from Tier 3 to Tier 2 and from Tier 2 to Tier 1.

• Collaborate with HR Technology & Data teams to improve operational efficiency and user experience.

• Create maintain and enhance work instructions knowledge articles and operational documentation.

• Deliver Workday training and functional guidance to regional Service Agents and HR stakeholders.

• Advise business stakeholders on Workday processes employee data quality and compliance standards.

• Support security-related inquiries and collaborate with Tier 3 experts when required.

• Promote consistent global HR service delivery through governance documentation and knowledge sharing.

What you bring:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources Information Technology Business Administration or a related field.

• 46 years of experience in HR Technology HR Operations or Workday support.

• Strong functional expertise in:

  • Workday HCM Core

  • Workday Absence

• Experience managing:

  • Employee data

  • Complex HR technology incidents

  • HR process compliance

  • Global HR operations

• Experience working within a tiered service delivery model (Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3).

• Hands-on experience in:

  • Workday testing

  • Documentation

  • User training

  • Continuous improvement initiatives

• Strong understanding of HR systems service delivery and operational governance.

• Excellent analytical communication stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with HR ICT Service Delivery and Centers of Excellence (CoEs).

• Fluent in spoken and written English.
