Assist Latapult team in performing spatial analysis and creating mapping visuals.
Support data management tasks including data entry validation and maintenance of geospatial databases.
Conduct and manage basic spatial analysis tasks such as buffering overlay analysis and map layer production.
Manage custom GIS tools and scripts to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
Prepare visualizations to communicate spatial analysis findings to the Latapult team.
Collaborate with colleagues to understand geospatial product requirements and contribute to product deliverables.
Stay updated on GIS trends and technologies through training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Geography GIS Environmental Science or a related field.
Experience with GIS software (e.g. coursework internships or projects).
Proficiency in GIS software including ArcGIS Desktop ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.
Basic understanding of spatial analysis techniques and cartographic principles.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
Experience with web-based GIS applications (e.g. ArcGIS Online Leaflet).
Familiarity with basic scripting or programming languages (e.g. Python) for geospatial analysis and automation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of remote sensing techniques and image processing.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex GIS concepts to non-technical audiences.
Experience with database management (e.g. PostgreSQL SQL Server) and data manipulation.
