AECOM is seeking a talented and motivated GIS Specialist II to join our Digital Solutions team. The successful candidate will support infrastructure water utilities and environmental projects through GIS database development spatial analysis dashboard creation and GIS-CAD integration. This role requires strong expertise in ArcGIS Pro GIS data management cartography and spatial analytics along with experience in preparing and managing engineering drawings and geospatial datasets.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GIS technologies data visualization and digital engineering workflows enabling project teams to make informed decisions through accurate spatial intelligence and interactive reporting tools.
Job Duties
- Develop maintain and manage GIS databases and geospatial datasets using ArcGIS Pro.
- Perform spatial data processing analysis validation and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC).
- Process and analyze satellite imagery and Digital Elevation Models (DEM) for terrain analysis feature extraction and integration into project workflows.
- Produce high-quality cartographic products thematic maps and technical GIS deliverables in accordance with project standards.
- Design develop and maintain ArcGIS Dashboards and other web-based GIS applications for project monitoring reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Create update and manage spatial drawings using AutoCAD Map 3D.
- Support preparation of utility infrastructure environmental and topographic drawings while ensuring compliance with client and project requirements.
- Integrate GIS data with CAD and engineering datasets to support multidisciplinary project delivery.
- Collaborate with engineers planners scientists and project teams to develop geospatial solutions for infrastructure and environmental challenges.
- Prepare technical documentation metadata data standards and GIS procedures.
- Assist in the implementation and enhancement of GIS workflows automation initiatives and digital delivery strategies.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Geography GIS Geomatics Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in GIS and CAD-related roles.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro for GIS database management analysis and cartographic production.
- Experience with ArcGIS Dashboards QGIS and AutoCAD Map 3D.
- Strong understanding of spatial data models coordinate systems geodatabases and geospatial data management principles.
- Experience in spatial analysis data validation and QA/QC processes.
- Strong analytical communication and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Additional Information :
- Experience supporting water wastewater environmental utility or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of GIS-CAD-BIM integration workflows and digital engineering practices.
- Experience with web GIS applications geospatial visualization and enterprise GIS environments.
- Familiarity with remote sensing satellite imagery processing and terrain modeling.
- Experience with GIS automation tools such as Python ModelBuilder or FME is an advantage.
