GET Mechanical Engineer

Key responsibilities & accountabilities:

• Support the design and development of mechanical components assemblies and systems used in pumps and water technology products.
• Prepare and modify 2D drawings and 3D models using Creo and other CAD tools.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings specifications and technical documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Interpret customer specifications engineering requirements and industry standards.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs) within ERP systems.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to engineering drawings.
• Participate in product validation prototype evaluations and design reviews.
• Support engineering change requests and product improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing sourcing operations quality and global engineering teams to ensure successful product execution.
• Assist in troubleshooting engineering and manufacturing issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Support documentation activities associated with engineering releases and product lifecycle management.
• Learn and apply engineering best practices design standards and product development processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality productivity and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications: Education Experience:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from recognized university
• 0-1 years of experience in a Mechanical Design role.
• Internship or academic project experience related to mechanical design CAD pumps fluid systems or product development will be an advantage

Required knowledge skill & abilities:

• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal casting machining welding and fabrication.
• Exposure to engineering drawings and GD&T concepts.
• Exposure in 3D CAD software preferably Creo; knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with BOM creation and engineering documentation.
• Basic understanding of pumps valves motors or industrial equipment is desirable.
• Exposure to FEA CFD or simulation tools is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of ERP and PLM systems is desirable.
