Position: Geologist
Department: Design & Engineering
Reporting To: Design Director / Project Director
Role Purpose:
The Geologist shall be responsible for geological investigations geological mapping rock mass assessment landslide investigations and providing technical inputs for slope stabilization and hill slope protection projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct geological mapping and site investigations for slope stabilization and landslide mitigation projects.
Carry out rock mass characterization and geotechnical geological assessments.
Investigate landslide-prone areas and identify causes of slope failures.
Assess geological conditions affecting slope stability and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Prepare geological reports investigation reports and technical recommendations.
Support the design team with geological inputs for slope stabilization retaining structures and protection works.
Coordinate with geotechnical engineers survey teams and project managers.
Review field data borehole logs geological sections and laboratory test results.
Assist in preparing tender documents technical submissions and project reports.
Conduct site visits and provide geological support during project execution.
Educational Qualification:
Post Graduate Degree in Geology or Engineering Geology.
Requirements
Minimum 8 years of total professional experience.
Minimum 8 years of experience in geological mapping rock mass assessment landslide investigation and hill slope studies.
Independently carried out geological investigation/design for at least 3 slope stabilization or landslide treatment projects.
Experience in geological hazard assessment and slope stability evaluation.
Desired Skills:
Strong knowledge of engineering geology and rock mechanics.
Expertise in geological mapping and landslide investigation.
Ability to interpret geological and geotechnical data.
Technical report writing and documentation skills.
Good coordination and communication abilities.
