We are hiring an experienced Retail Manager (General) for a retail outlet located in a remote regional community in Australia. The ideal candidate will support store operations manage inventory and staff ensure compliance with workplace regulations and help achieve operational and financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
Manage product mix stock levels and service standards
Implement purchasing pricing and marketing strategies
Promote and advertise store products and services
Assist customers with product selection and usage guidance
Maintain records of stock sales and financial transactions
Handle budgeting and daily store operations
Supervise train and mentor staff members
Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) regulations
Operate inventory control systems POS systems and bookkeeping software
Coordinate smooth store operations in a remote community environment
Requirements
Previous experience as a Retail Manager / Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager
Strong knowledge of inventory management POS systems and bookkeeping software
Minimum 3 years of experience in staff supervision training and team leadership
Good understanding of WHS and HR practices
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication leadership and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Experience working in regional or remote communities is preferred
Knowledge of indigenous culture and remote community environments will be an advantage.
