Job Summary

Qualifications required Graduate/Post degree in Finance Economics Accounting /ICWA/CPA is not required but it is preferred.
Skills knowledge experience required 10 years experience in Commercial Portfolio Management FP&A Business Performance or Commercial Finance within a commodity-based environment such as oil & gas grocery retail/wholesale/liquor store grain/soft commodities mining metals CPG Beverages manufacturing banking or energy markets
Deep commercial & operational understanding
Experience working with commodity markets price curves hedging supply/demand analytics or trading.
Understanding of global supply chains production economics and asset intensive operations.
Experience connecting financial performance with operational and market drivers.
Advanced analytical & modelling capability
Strong skills in scenario modelling cost curves sensitivity analysis optimisation models and price-volume-mix.
Experience with advanced analytics or forecasting tools used in commodity industries.
Systems & digital capability
Advanced Excel financial modelling large datasets pivot analysis complex lookups
SAP ECC or equivalent ERP report extraction cost centre mapping GL cod
6. Enterprise Reporting Data & Systems Support the Finance Business Partner FP&A Manager Divisional General Manager in team leadership planning and execution of key initiatives.
Lead adoption of enterprise CPM tools (SAP SAC Power BI or equivalent).

Build reporting for trading and product contribution margin.

Ensure data quality and single-source-of-truth structures for performance reporting.
7. Leadership & Influence Lead cross-functional performance dialogues including monthly performance reviews risk reviews and strategic planning sessions.
Coach analysts and stakeholders on interpreting commodity driven performance drivers. driven performance drivers.
Mentor wider FP&A and operational finance teams in understanding margin dynamics and drivers of volatility.
Partner to drive long term outcomes for the Business
Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Performance Frameworks
Working with Finance ensure alignment of long term and near term plans
Lead development and continuous improvement of the enterprise performance management (IBP) framework ensuring alignment across Trading Operations Logistics Manufacturing and Commercial functions.
Translate commodity market movements input cost volatility FX impacts and supply chain constraints into actionable performance insights for senior leaders.
Drive standardisation of planning performance and reporting processes across the business units.
2. Market & Margin Analytics Drive overall understanding of drivers and insights into Performance including Margins
Margin Analytics - Produce margin per unit / margin per product analysis incorporating commodity price curves cost curves and market supply/demand dynamics
Integrate operational KPIs (yield throughput energy use working capital) with Sales and Optimisation financial KPIs to create a unified performance view.
Provide insights into Optimisation (swing) decisions (e.g. product mix optimisation channel allocation plant utilisation).
3. Scenario Analysis & Decision Support Lead complex multi-variable scenario modelling (commodity prices global demand weather impacts geopolitical shifts supply disruptions).
Support strategic investment decisions including capacity expansions asset maintenance cycles and capital optimisation.
Run sensitivities for pricing cost shocks operational disruptions and supply-chain changes.
Provide clear financial narratives to support decision-making at leadership levels.
4. Performance Management Support target setting and KPI tracking for the business unit.
Drive continuous performance monitoring identifying opportunities for improvement.
Provide analytical support on revenue cost margin working capital drivers store forecasting profitability analysis or occupancy on shelves
Support cost recoveries through allocation models or charge backs from operations or other business units
5. Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Ensure IBP integrates demand supply inventory production planning and commercial strategy into a single enterprise plan.
Critically evaluate plan assumptions using demand forecasts commodity price outlooks cost curves and market intelligence.
Ensure alignment between financial plan S&OP and operational plansespecially in volatile market environments.
