Job Summary
Position Summary:
Plant locations is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the design implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure systems and services. This position involves managing a team of IT professionals ensuring the availability and reliability of IT infrastructure and contributing to the overall IT strategy of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy aligned with the organizations business goals and technological advancements.
- Team Management: Coordinate with team of IT professionals including infrastructure engineers network administrators and support staff fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- System Design and Implementation: Design implement and maintain IT infrastructure systems including servers networks cloud services ensuring optimal performance scalability and security.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to procure and maintain IT hardware software and services. Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Incident Management: Oversee the resolution of IT infrastructure incidents and outages ensuring timely response root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
- Capacity Planning: Monitor and manage IT infrastructure capacity proactively identifying potential bottlenecks and planning for future growth and resource requirements.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce IT security measures policies and best practices to safeguard IT infrastructure and data. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for IT infrastructure systems conducting regular testing and updates.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget tracking expenses optimizing costs and making recommendations for investments in technology upgrades.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with senior management department heads and end-users to understand their IT infrastructure needs and provide regular updates on project status performance and improvements.
- Technical Leadership: Stay updated on industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in IT infrastructure management. Provide guidance and mentorship to the IT infrastructure team.
- Development Task: Employee should have hands on development skill for custom business application. Will have to work some of the application project as and when required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a combination of IT & Digital infra and Application deployment.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure management including hands-on experience with server systems networks storage solutions and cloud platforms.
- Excellent knowledge about all aspects of information technology specifically with complex infrastructure environments.
- Previous hands on infrastructure experience.
- Excellent analytical and observation skills.
- Excellent time management skills and understanding the value of a baseline
- Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional interdisciplinary teams
- Experience with contract and vendor negotiations and management
- Specific experience in Agile (scaled) software development or other best in class development practices.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA CCNP MCSA MCSE or ITIL are a plus.
- Willingness to travel between plant locations as required.
