Fire Sprinkler System Designer

We are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler System Designer to prepare detailed working drawings support project coordination and assist with design-related field issues.

This is a senior hands-on design role. Candidates must have experience using AutoSPRINK HydraCAD or SprinkCAD. Experience with other drafting or sprinkler design tools alone will not be enough as this role requires minimal training and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed working fire sprinkler system drawings
• Use AutoSPRINK HydraCAD or SprinkCAD to complete design work
• Manage design work from project start through completion
• Apply current fire sprinkler codes standards materials and design methods
• Prepare and review hydraulic calculations
• Create fabrication and stock listing documentation
• Coordinate piping locations with other trades
• Attend project meetings as required
• Support field personnel with design-related installation issues
• Help resolve design-related operating deficiencies
• Assist with estimating proposal preparation and equipment or parts ordering
• Maintain organized project documentation and communicate clearly with internal teams

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of fire sprinkler design experience
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: AutoSPRINK HydraCAD or SprinkCAD
• Strong understanding of hydraulic calculations
• Experience with fabrication and stock listing procedures
• Working knowledge of current fire sprinkler codes and standards
• Ability to work independently with limited training
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience coordinating directly with field crews contractors engineers or other trades
• Experience supporting estimating proposals or material/equipment ordering
• Experience working on U.S.-based fire sprinkler design projects

Important Note

Candidates who only have general CAD Revit BIM or other non-specialized drafting software experience will not be a fit unless they also have hands-on experience with AutoSPRINK HydraCAD or SprinkCAD.
