Role and Responsibility of Fire and Safety officer

JD

Safety & Fire officer/ HSE officer

Monitoring the compliances of Environment Health & Safety related statutory requirements and internal EHS standards.
Waste water analysis COD BOD TDS TSS etc.
Imparting awareness training to staff & Workers on Energy conservation practices and Contractors safety.
Investigation of accidents and incidents to minimize recurrence.
Performing the job hazard analysis.
Successful handling of E.T.P & softening plant

Safety Audits Job Safety Analysis Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment.
Conducting Fire Fighting Emergency Preparedness and other Safety Training Programs to aware employees.

Specialties: Handle effluent treatment plant successfully ( physical chemical & biological)

Interacting with

Maharashtra Pollution Control Board: MPCB

for maintaining ETP STP Hazardous Waste and other Environmental parameters according to norms.
Successful handling of E.T.P & softening plant.
Planning Scheduling & Execution of all action to create Safe Working Environment
Implementation of Indian Standards/Factories Act for EHS Relevant to Textile Industries.
Safety Audits Job Safety Analysis Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment.
Conducting Fire Fighting Emergency Preparedness and other Safety Training Programs to aware employees.
Accident Data Analysis MSDS Analysis.
Monitoring the compliances of Environment Health & Safety related statutory requirements and internal EHS standards.

Required Candidate profile

Essential Qualifications
BSc /MSc chemistry with Diploma in industrial safety Essential Experience

Monitor the job activity at the site to ensuresafetycompliance.

Maintainingrecords of work permits checklists.

Co-ordinates with site in charge and contactors onSafetymatters.

Co-ordinate with all depts. onsafetymatters.

Conducts initialsafetyinduction for all workers.

Conducts and carries out incident/accident investigations with work supervisors and submit the relevant reports.

Maintain a good housekeeping andsafepractices.

Shall participate insafetyTool Box talk.

Coordinated with site engineer to identify and resolve varioussafetyissues.

Monitoringsafeoperation of all work.

Maintainingrecords of work permits checklists.

ConductingSafetyTraining /TOOL BOX TALK at regular basis.

Implementation of managementsafetypolicies Barricades Sign boards P.P.E. etc.

Responsible to providesafetymaterials and relevant documents like sitesafetyhand books posters forms etc.

Ensuringsafeaccess to all the employees.

Scaffoldsafety.

Implementing Electricalsafety Hot workSafetyEtc.

First aid and emergency proceeding.

Keeping work environmentsafeand proper housekeeping.

Conduct random on-sitesafetyinspections and report.

Coordinated with site engineer to identify and resolve varioussafetyissues.

Filled out required documentation following any on-sitesafetyincident and accidents
