Job Summary
Estimation Engineer analyzes project requirements to forecast the costs of materials labor and equipment needed to complete a project. They collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to generate accurate competitive bids and proposals while minimizing cost ResponsibilitiesQuantity Take-Offs: Analyze blueprints architectural drawings and technical specifications to calculate required material Analysis: Estimate direct and indirect costs including raw materials labor subcontracting and Preparation: Develop techno-commercial proposals tender packages and pricing Management: Issue inquiries to suppliers evaluate bids and negotiate commercial/technical terms to secure the best Engineering: Review designs and propose cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality or Tracking: Compare estimated costs against actual project spending to improve future predictive Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Civil Mechanical Electrical or Production Proficiency: Advanced command of MS Excel and AutoCAD; familiarity with estimating software or ERP systems is a Skills: Strong ability to read engineering drawings bills of quantities (BOQs) and understand complex manufacturing or construction Skills: Exceptional mathematical analytical and negotiation abilities.
