Accounts Manager / Finance Manager

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting operations of our shipping and logistics business. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in accounting taxation financial reporting and statutory compliance with knowledge of shipping-related transactions such as freight billing vendor payments and customer receivables.

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records including journal entries vouchers and ledgers.

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Prepare customer invoices for freight transportation shipping and logistics services.

• Verify vendor invoices and process payments on time.

• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.

• Reconcile customer vendor and general ledger accounts.

• Maintain records of freight charges transportation expenses and operational costs.

• Prepare monthly MIS reports financial statements and management reports.

• Ensure timely compliance with GST TDS and Income Tax regulations.

• Prepare and file GST returns TDS returns and other statutory reports.

• Coordinate with auditors banks customers vendors and government authorities.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Maintain proper accounting documentation and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Support internal and statutory audits.

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce () is mandatory.

• CA Inter CMA Inter or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.

• 2–5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.

• Experience in the Shipping Freight Forwarding Logistics Transportation Courier or Supply Chain industry will be preferred.

• Proficiency in Tally ERP/TallyPrime or other accounting software.

• Strong knowledge of MS Excel including Pivot Tables VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP IF formulas and basic MIS reporting.

• Good understanding of GST TDS Income Tax and statutory compliance.

• Experience with bank reconciliation ledger scrutiny and account reconciliation.

• Knowledge of freight billing shipping documentation and logistics accounting is an advantage.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of shipping and logistics operations.

• Familiarity with ERP systems is an added advantage.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
