About The Client:
A British multinational alcoholic beverage company with its headquarters in London England. It operates from 132 sites around the world. It is a major distributor of Scotch whisky and other spirits. Distilleries owned by Client produce 40% of all Scotch whisky with over 24 brands.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Own and coordinate end-to-end Record-to-Report (RTR) activities ensuring accurate and timely financial close.
  • Prepare review and post accruals provisions reclassifications adjustments and recurring journals in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding and aged items.
  • Support month-end quarter-end and year-end closing activities in accordance with established timelines and accounting policies.
  • Prepare and review management reporting statutory reporting and financial statements with appropriate supporting schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS US GAAP UK GAAP or local statutory accounting requirements as applicable.
  • Support legal entity controllership including intercompany accounting balance sheet substantiation and entity-level reporting.
  • Utilize BlackLine for account reconciliation journal management task management and financial close activities.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and financial reports to support management decision-making.
  • Leverage advanced MS Excel capabilities including PivotTables XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP Power Query and financial data analysis.
  • Perform variance analysis and investigate significant movements across P&L and balance sheet accounts.
  • Support treasury accounting activities including bank reconciliations cash accounting interest foreign exchange and related reporting.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Treasury Tax FP&A and other finance functions to resolve accounting and reporting issues.
  • Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliation ensuring timely confirmation and settlement of balances.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate schedules reconciliations documentation and audit evidence.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls SOX requirements accounting policies and compliance procedures.
  • Identify control gaps and implement appropriate remediation actions to strengthen the financial control environment.
  • Drive process standardization automation and continuous improvement across RTR and financial close processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency through SAP BlackLine Power BI and Excel-based automation.
  • Participate in finance transformation ERP enhancement and SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate process documentation SOPs work instructions and control matrices.
  • Support year-end audit statutory audit and tax-related accounting requirements as needed.
  • Monitor KPIs and SLAs for RTR processes and proactively address deviations.
  • Provide training knowledge transfer and guidance to junior team members and shared service center resources.
  • Act as a key finance contact for business stakeholders and provide timely resolution to accounting and reporting queries.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership accountability attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven multinational SSC environment.
Qualifications:
Additional Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA FI/CO and RTR processes.
  • Working knowledge of BlackLine Financial Close and Reconciliation.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience with Power BI for financial reporting dashboards and data visualization.
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger Fixed Assets Intercompany Treasury Accounting and Financial Reporting.
  • Knowledge of internal controls SOX audit requirements and financial governance.
  • Experience in finance process transformation automation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across global finance teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal business English communication skills.
  • Ability to independently analyze complex accounting issues and recommend practical solutions.
