Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to lead and manage the complete finance and accounts function for a shipping and logistics organization. The Finance Head will be responsible for financial reporting compliance treasury and banking budgeting and forecasting audits and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. This role requires strong leadership excellent analytical skills and hands-on operational experience across multiple finance disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end finance and accounts function ensuring robust financial controls and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare review and present financial statements MIS reports budgets and cash-flow forecasts to management.
  • Ensure compliance with GST TDS Income Tax Companies Act and other statutory requirements; coordinate statutory filings.
  • Manage audits and tax assessments; coordinate with external auditors tax consultants and regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor working capital treasury operations banking relationships and fund management to optimize liquidity and cost of funds.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations reconciliations payroll accounting and month-end/year-end closing activities.
  • Analyze financial performance identify risks and opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to improve profitability and cost efficiencies.
  • Support business planning pricing cost optimization and profitability improvement initiatives across business units.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls policies and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
  • Lead mentor and develop the finance and accounts team to build capability and ensure timely deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • Proven post-qualification experience in senior finance leadership roles preferably within shipping logistics freight forwarding or related industries.
  • Stable career history with demonstrated ownership of full finance lifecycle and statutory compliance.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience liaising with banks auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Ability to work independently drive process improvements and implement best practices across multiple business functions.
