Job Title: Essbase Developer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Essbase Developer with strong expertise in ASO & BSO cube design end to end cube development and ETL processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building optimizing and maintaining Essbase applications and supporting enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain ASO & BSO cubes in Essbase
Perform end to end cube build deployment and optimization activities
Develop calculation scripts business rules and data load processes
Work on ETL processes and data integration from multiple source systems
Monitor and optimize cube performance and database efficiency
Collaborate with business users to gather reporting and analytical requirements
Troubleshoot Essbase application and data related issues
Support financial planning forecasting and reporting applications
Prepare technical documentation and maintain development standards
Participate in Agile/Scrum project activities where applicable
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT Finance or related field
3 years of experience in Essbase development
Strong hands on experience with ASO & BSO cube design and development
Expertise in Essbase calculation scripts and business rules
Experience with ETL and data integration processes
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Understanding of data warehousing concepts
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Technical Skills
OLAP Tools: Oracle Essbase
Cube Development: ASO BSO Cube Design
ETL & Integration: Data Load Rules ETL Processes
Database: SQL Oracle
Scripting: Calculation Scripts MaxL
Methodology: Agile / Scrum
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle EPM/Hyperion suite preferred
Exposure to financial planning and reporting applications
Knowledge of performance tuning and cube optimization
Experience in Finance Banking or Enterprise Analytics domains preferred
