Job Summary

Job Title: Test Engineer
Location: Sriperumbudur Tamil Nadu

Job Overview:
The Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the effective installation commissioning validation
maintenance and performance of test equipment used in manufacturing operations. The role will involve
maintaining test equipment reliability developing and implementing validation methodologies analysing
test data and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test and equipment engineering preferably within
the electronics manufacturing or power electronics industry. The role requires strong analytical and
problem-solving abilities technical documentation skills and the ability to work closely with equipment
manufacturers and cross-functional teams to develop and improve testing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Test Equipment Installation & Maintenance:
• Install commission operate and maintain test equipment used in manufacturing and product
testing.
• Ensure the proper functioning reliability and availability of test equipment.
• Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities for testing equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment performance maintenance activities and technical
issues.
2. Equipment Validation & Process Improvement:
• Apply equipment validation methodologies such as GR&R and Cpk to ensure measurement and
process capability.
• Analyse test results and equipment performance data to identify potential issues and
improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement preventive methodologies to improve test accuracy reliability and
process performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to testing processes and equipment
efficiency.
3. Equipment Development & Technical Support:
• Work closely with equipment manufacturers and internal teams to develop modify and validate
test equipment.
• Develop technical solutions to improve equipment performance testing capability and
operational efficiency.
• Participate in equipment development trials validations and implementation activities.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving critical equipment-related issues.
4. Documentation & SOP Management:
• Establish maintain and update technical documents work instructions and Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure all testing and equipment-related documentation is maintained accurately and

compliance.
• Ensure adherence to defined technical procedures and operational standards.
5. Training & Team Development:
• Train subordinates associates and relevant team members on approved SOPs and testing
procedures.
• Ensure proper understanding and implementation of equipment operating procedures and safety
requirements.
• Support the development of technical competency within the team.
6. KPI Achievement & Performance Monitoring:
• Establish and implement actions to achieve departmental and organisational KPIs and goals.
• Monitor equipment and testing performance against defined targets.
• Identify performance gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support departmental initiatives focused on productivity quality and operational excellence.
7. Quality Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality management and EHS requirements.
• Maintain basic awareness and adherence to relevant ISO standards related to QMS and EHS.
• Follow established safety procedures while operating and maintaining test equipment.
• Support audit and compliance activities related to testing equipment and technical processes.

Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 4–6 years of experience in Test Engineering and Equipment Engineering.
• Experience in the Electronics Manufacturing or Power Electronics industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of test equipment installation commissioning validation and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with validation methodologies such as GR&R and Cpk.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse data and implement preventive and corrective
actions.
• Experience in preparing and maintaining technical documentation and SOPs.
• Ability to coordinate with equipment manufacturers for equipment development and technical
improvements.
• Proficiency in MS Office for documentation reporting and data analysis.
• Ability to make sound decisions during critical and time-sensitive situations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of ISO Standards related to QMS and EHS.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
