Engineer Process Quality
Job Summary
- Monitor and improve FPY (First Pass Yield) and RTY (Rolled Throughput Yield) across projects.
- Analyze recurring quality issues and drive improvement actions through cross-functional teams.
- Correlate customer rejections with internal failures to identify detection gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Lead GYAT (Go See Act Teach) reviews and ensure effective closure of actions.
- Monitor critical process parameters using SPC Cp and Cpk analysis.
- Provide real-time support to IPQA teams on process observations deviations and quality clarifications.
- Review and update PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) and Control Plans.
- Ensure timely closure of audit findings and conduct periodic reviews of previous audit actions.
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D Lean Six Sigma Root Cause Analysis and CAPA.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality.
- Strong knowledge of PCB assemblies electronic components and mechanical inspection.
- Experience in Customer Quality IPQA (In-Process Quality Assurance) and Incoming Quality functions.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and quality documentation systems.
- Familiarity with IPC standards preferably IPC-A-600.
- Strong understanding of quality tools including:
- SPC
- Cp/Cpk
- GRR
- PFMEA
- Control Plans
- 8D
- Lean Six Sigma
- SPC
- Excellent communication presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Required Skills:
Qualifications: Bachelors degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in supplier quality engineering particularly in the mechanical domain. Strong understanding of mechanical components manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies mechanical special processes & control mechanisms Knowledge of relevant industry standards (AS9100) Aerospace & Defense customer standards / requirements and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving and root cause analysis & 8D expertise. FAI process as per AS9102 requirements Working experience in the Electronics Manufacturing industry (EMS) will be an added advantage. Ability to travel for on-site supplier visits as needed. Other Skills Preferred: Certification in quality management (e.g. Lean Six Sigma CpK studies SPC & MSA Internal auditor). Familiarity with ERP (SAP) systems and quality management software. Understanding of both metal & plastic parts manufacturing processes Coordinating with IQC team Knowledge of different types of mechanical materials and finishes
