Job Description:

Pratt & Whitney is seeking methods development engineer in our Systems Data science & Methods team at the Pratt & Whitney India Engineering Center (IEC) in Bengaluru India. The role will span working with engine module centers and systems engineering teams to develop various tools & methods automation. Main responsibilities include automation of various engineering processes their validation to improve on engineering workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Learn the current processes methods & support the automation of engineering workflows.
• Understand the standard work processes apply them for development till deployment.
• Prepare maintain or update documentation of methods and tools
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Exhibit the project ownership for the defined milestones in terms of schedules & quality of deliverables.
• Work with customers to define requirements and trouble shoot issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree (with 4 yr experience) or Advanced degree (with 2 yr experience) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Basic understanding of structural design tools (Ansys NX Teamcenter Hypermesh).
• Coding skills in Python C C.
• Finite Element Modeling and Analysis (Static & Dynamics Aero-thermal) experience.
• Good communication skills and working as a team player.
• Strong learner and provide creative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in Mechanical design Aero-thermal Geometric modeling
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Familiarity with SCRUM and Agile project management methodologies
• Experience with GitHub JIRA or other code management and product management software

• Ability to interface with customers (internal & external)
