1. Test Operations & Hardware Management
- Manage engine dynamometers instrumentation and Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Dyno hardware instrumentation and automation software issues.
- Ensure test cells are correctly configured for performance emissions durability or calibration testing.
- Define material handling requirements for test facilities (rail systems lift assists fixtures).
2. Manufacturing Engineering & Standards
- Develop and maintain Bill of Process (BOP) standards for test methods and equipment specifications.
- Create and maintain Bill of Material (BOM) for test systems and standardise components globally.
- Use virtual manufacturing and virtual commissioning to simulate and validate test systems.
- Develop test process sequences and provide inputs to the Global Study Process Allocation System (GSPAS).
3. Procurement & Technical Strategy
- Define Scope of Work (SOW) and support procurement of engine test systems aligned with Powertrain strategy.
- Provide manufacturing feasibility assessments and cost estimates to programme management.
- Lead supplier technical reviews benchmarking and bestinclass method evaluations.
- Support development and procurement of prototype test systems for early-stage R&D.
4. Test Execution Support & Safety
- Plan execute and monitor engine dynamometer tests in line with approved engineering test plans.
- Supervise daily operation of multiple engine test rooms coordinating technicians and shift handovers.
- Perform root cause analysis of test failures for new model programmes and existing facilities.
- Implement standardized solutions for safety ergonomics productivity and test integrity.
