Role Overview
The Employer Connect Lead will drive employer partnerships to enable job creation outcomes for the Wadhwani Opportunity (WGO) programs. The role involves understanding evolving job market trends building strong employer networks across key sectors and leveraging these partnerships to support training placements and career growth opportunities for learners.
Analyze job market trends and identify high-demand roles and skills across regions and sectors.
Build and manage strategic partnerships with employers across priority sectors such as Retail Healthcare BFSI ITES Auto Beauty & Wellness and Hospitality.
Collaborate with sector skill councils and industry bodies to strengthen employer engagement and program alignment.
Establish and manage Industry Advisory Councils to bring industry insights and enhance program relevance.
Work with employer partners to co-create and validate training content aligned to industry needs.
Enable training placements and post-placement support for students through employer partnerships.
Design and run pilot initiatives with employers to validate and scale engagement models.

Skills & Experience
7-10 years of experience in business development or employer engagement including 57 years in the staffing or talent ecosystem.
Strong network with employers across sectors such as Retail Healthcare BFSI ITES Auto Beauty & Wellness and Hospitality.
Strong communication relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic thinker with ability to build and scale employer partnerships.
Strong understanding of job market trends and evolving skill demands.
Hands-on solution-oriented approach with ability to work in dynamic environments.
Familiarity with EdTech skilling or training ecosystems is preferred.
Willingness to travel and engage closely with partners across regions.
Required Skills:
Role Overview: The SMB Portfolio Lead will focus on identifying high-potential small and medium businesses (SMBs) in their hub and supporting them with corporate partnerships market access funding access and growth strategies. Key Responsibilities: SMB Identification & Engagement Work with industry associations (CII FICCI NASSCOM) government agencies and corporates to source scalable SMBs. Facilitate SMB onboarding into growth programs ensuring alignment with industry needs. Build relationships with corporate accelerators and government support programs. Scaling & Market Access Facilitate corporate partnerships to help SMBs secure pilots proof-of-concept projects and B2B deals. Guide SMBs on market expansion strategies and product-market fit refinement. Support SMBs in navigating public procurement opportunities. Alternative Financing & Investment Readiness Assist SMBs in accessing grants impact investments and debt financing. Connect SMBs with alternative funding sources including government-backed financing schemes. Organize investor meets matchmaking with angel networks and micro-VCs. Tracking & Impact Measurement Maintain SMB growth data tracking revenue job creation and funding raised. Develop success stories and case studies to showcase impact and attract further investment. Provide strategic insights on SMB ecosystem development in the hub. Qualifications & Experience: 47 years experience working with SMBs industry bodies or corporate innovation programs. Strong understanding of business scaling market access and alternative financing. Experience with public procurement and corporate partnerships is a plus. Strong stakeholder engagement business advisory and project management skills.
