Electrical Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Electrical Technician Location: Nellore Andhra Pradesh Experience: 58 Years Industry: Utilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Chemical/Process Plants or Similar Industrial Projects About the Role We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to handle electrical maintenance troubleshooting installation and repair activities at our industrial facility in Nellore. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical operations and maintenance within utility plants chemical/process plants or similar industrial environments. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive predictive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and systems. Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure minimum downtime of plant machinery and equipment. Maintain and repair motors pumps electrical panels MCCs PCCs transformers and other electrical equipment. Handle electrical installation wiring cable laying termination and testing activities. Monitor and maintain electrical systems associated with utility equipment and industrial processes. Inspect electrical equipment regularly to identify potential faults and prevent equipment failures. Work with electrical drawings wiring diagrams and equipment manuals. Ensure proper functioning of electrical systems control panels and power distribution networks. Coordinate with operations instrumentation and maintenance teams to ensure smooth plant operations. Maintain electrical maintenance records breakdown reports and preventive maintenance checklists. Follow safety procedures permit-to-work systems lockout/tagout (LOTO) and applicable electrical safety standards. Ensure compliance with plant safety policies and maintenance procedures. Required Skills Strong knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with electrical motors pumps panels MCCs and power distribution systems. Knowledge of electrical testing instruments such as multimeters clamp meters and insulation resistance testers. Understanding of preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance procedures. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams. Knowledge of industrial electrical safety standards and maintenance practices. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a plant maintenance environment. Educational Qualification ITI in Electrician Trade or Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Relevant industrial electrical maintenance experience is essential. Preferred Industry Experience Candidates with experience in any of the following industries will be preferred: Utility Plants Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Chemical and Process Plants Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industrial Manufacturing Plants Similar Industrial Projects Candidate Requirements 58 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance. Experience in troubleshooting preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance. Ability to work in a plant environment and coordinate with cross-functional teams. Strong focus on safety equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
