Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technocommercial Estimation Engineer Vadodara

To prepare accurate technical and commercial estimates BOQs cost sheets vendor comparisons and techno-commercial proposals for electrical instrumentation and automation systems associated with Water Treatment Plants (WTP) Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) pumping stations water supply projects and industrial automation projects.

A. Electrical Estimation and Costing

• Prepare BOQs and cost estimates for LT panels HT panels MCC panels PCC panels APFC panels VFD panels and soft starter panels.
• Estimate electrical equipment such as transformers DG sets UPS systems battery chargers and power distribution systems.
• Calculate cable sizes cable quantities cable trays earthing lighting and electrical installation requirements based on project specifications.
• Prepare estimates for motors motor feeders protection devices electrical accessories and control wiring.
• Estimate installation testing commissioning transportation and associated manpower costs.
• Prepare detailed item-wise rate analysis and project cost summaries.

B. Instrumentation Estimation

• Prepare estimates for electromagnetic flow meters ultrasonic flow meters pressure transmitters differential pressure transmitters level transmitters and analytical instruments.
• Estimate pH turbidity chlorine and other water quality monitoring instruments.
• Prepare BOQs for control valves motorized valves actuators and associated instrumentation accessories.
• Estimate instrument cables junction boxes cable trays mounting accessories and instrument installation materials.
• Review instrument datasheets technical specifications process parameters and measurement ranges.
• Estimate calibration testing commissioning and instrument integration costs.

C. PLC SCADA and Automation Estimation

• Prepare BOQs and estimates for PLC panels RTU panels remote I/O panels field PLCs central PLCs and control panels.
• Estimate SCADA software HMI systems industrial PCs servers communication equipment and networking components.
• Prepare cost estimates for GSM/GPRS/4G communication telemetry modems industrial Ethernet switches and communication accessories.
• Understand I/O lists control philosophies system architecture and automation requirements.
• Estimate PLC programming SCADA development system integration FAT SAT and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with automation engineers to finalize hardware configurations and software requirements.

D. Tendering and Technical Documentation

• Study tender documents specifications drawings P&IDs single-line diagrams (SLDs) and BOQs.
• Prepare technical compliance statements deviation statements equipment schedules and tender submissions.
• Identify missing items technical discrepancies and scope gaps in tender documents.
• Prepare technical clarifications and support pre-bid meetings.
• Ensure all estimated items comply with tender specifications and applicable standards.

E. Commercial Estimation and Vendor Coordination

• Obtain quotations from OEMs panel manufacturers instrument suppliers cable suppliers and automation vendors.
• Prepare comparative statements covering price specifications delivery warranty payment terms and taxes.
• Negotiate with vendors to obtain competitive prices and suitable commercial terms.
• Calculate freight insurance installation charges overheads contingencies and profit margins.
• Prepare customer quotations techno-commercial offers and final bid price summaries.
• Coordinate with procurement engineering finance and project execution teams.

F. Project Budget and Handover

• Prepare the final project cost sheet after order receipt.
• Hand over approved BOQs estimates technical specifications and vendor quotations to the execution team.
• Support project budget monitoring variation costing extra-item estimates and change orders.
• Maintain an organized database of vendor quotations equipment rates and estimation records.

• Electrical BOQ and detailed cost estimates.
• Instrumentation BOQ and instrument schedules.
• PLC/SCADA/RTU automation estimates.
• Cable sizing and quantity estimation.
• Vendor quotation comparison statements.
• Technical compliance and deviation statements.
• Techno-commercial bids and customer quotations.
• Final project cost sheets and budget handover engineer will be accountable for the accuracy technical compliance commercial competitiveness and timely submission of all assigned E&I estimates and tender documents. Final bid pricing and commercial commitments will require approval from the authorized management team.

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.25 years of experience in E&I estimation tendering costing or techno-commercial in water supply WTP/STP pumping stations industrial automation or infrastructure projects will be experience in BOQ preparation vendor coordination tender analysis and cost estimation is desirable.
