We are looking for a high-potential Electrical Estimation Engineer with strong first-principles thinking clarity of design understanding and hands-on experience in electrical design quantity take-off and costing. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to work close to real engineering real numbers and real decision-makingnot just BOQs. Key Responsibilities Cost Estimation & Analysis (Electrical-Focused)
Prepare and review detailed electrical cost estimates for prefab and modular construction projects. Perform accurate quantity take-offs from electrical drawings layouts and single-line diagrams. Conduct rate analysis for electrical systems including power lighting panels cabling earthing and basic ELV. Identify scope gaps overlaps and optimization opportunities early in the estimation stage.
Cost Automation & First-Principles Thinking
Approach costing using first-principles logic rather than copy-paste rates. Support development of structured rate libraries and standardised costing templates. Participate in improving estimation workflows and exploring automation-friendly costing methods.
Documentation & Submission
Compile clean well-structured costing and BOQ documents aligned with drawings and specifications. Support tender submissions by ensuring accuracy clarity and completeness of electrical cost data.
Strategic Stakeholder Coordination
Coordinate with design procurement and execution teams to validate quantities and constructability. Interact with vendors and subcontractors to obtain market rates and understand cost drivers. Support value engineering discussions by comparing alternative electrical systems and configurations.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Exposure to mechanical or plumbing systems is a plus but not mandatory.
Experience 1–4 years of experience in:
Electrical design or Electrical estimation / quantity take-off / costing roles.
Experience in consulting firms EPCs contractors or real-estate projects is preferred. Technical & Professional Skills
Strong understanding of electrical design intent and system layouts. Hands-on experience with quantity take-off rate analysis and Excel-based costing. Exposure to vendor rate negotiation and benchmarking. Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and clarity of thought.
