Position Title : Duck Creek QA Engineer Lead

Experience Required - 8 Years in Insurance Technology with 5 Years of Duck Creek Policy/Express Testing Experience

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Duck Creek QA Engineer Lead to lead quality assurance initiatives for Duck Creek Policy platforms (Express for Commercial and Personal Lines). The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining QA strategies driving end-to-end testing activities ensuring high-quality software delivery and leading testing efforts across development integration automation and cloud migration projects.

This role requires strong expertise in Duck Creek testing automation frameworks API validation cloud environments and collaboration with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts Developers Architects DevOps and Product Owners.

• Define and implement QA standards testing strategies and best practices for Duck Creek implementations and upgrades.

• Lead end-to-end testing activities including Functional Integration Regression System and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Develop maintain and review test plans test cases test scripts and execution reports.

• Provide quality governance testing metrics and release sign-off recommendations.

• Validate Duck Creek configurations including:

  • Product Setup

  • Rating & Pricing Rules

  • Business Rules

  • Forms & Document Generation

• Test and validate policy lifecycle transactions:

  • New Business

  • Endorsements

  • Renewals

  • Cancellations

  • Reinstatements

• Design develop and maintain automated test suites for UI API and backend validation.

• Perform integration testing between Duck Creek and upstream/downstream systems.

• Validate REST and SOAP APIs using industry-standard testing tools.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Support cloud migration testing initiatives including environment validation regression testing and release certification.

• Perform backend testing and data validation using SQL queries and database analysis.

• Validate cloud-based deployments in AWS and/or Azure environments.

• Perform defect triage root cause analysis and coordinate issue resolution with development teams.

• Support performance scalability and release readiness testing activities.

• Ensure compliance with quality security and regulatory standards.

• Lead and mentor QA engineers across onshore and offshore teams.

• Coordinate with Business Analysts Developers Architects Product Owners and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QA function.

• 8 years of experience in Insurance Technology.

• 5 years of hands-on experience testing Duck Creek Policy/Express applications.

• Strong expertise in:

  • Duck Creek Product Configuration Testing

  • Rating & Rules Validation

  • Forms Testing

  • Policy Lifecycle Testing

• Experience in Functional Integration Regression System and UAT Testing.

• Strong test automation experience using:

  • Selenium

  • Playwright

  • Cypress

  • Equivalent Automation Frameworks

• API testing expertise using:

  • Postman

  • ReadyAPI

  • SOAP/REST Services

• Advanced SQL and database validation skills.

• Experience working with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.

• Experience validating CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

• Strong defect management troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
