Position: Deputy General Manager (DGM) Maintenance

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented DGM Maintenance to lead plant maintenance operations ensuring maximum equipment uptime reliability safety and operational efficiency. The candidate will be responsible for preventive predictive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery utilities and infrastructure while driving continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall maintenance activities for plant machinery utilities and equipment.
- Plan and implement preventive predictive and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Ensure minimum machine downtime and improve equipment reliability & OEE.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs such as MTBF MTTR breakdown analysis and energy efficiency.
- Handle installation commissioning and troubleshooting of new equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety statutory ISO and environmental regulations.
- Manage utility systems including electrical HVAC compressors boilers DG sets etc.
- Develop maintenance budgets and control maintenance costs effectively.
- Maintain critical spare inventory and vendor/AMC management.
- Drive TPM 5S Kaizen Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and mentor maintenance teams contractors and technical staff.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams for smooth plant operations.
- Prepare maintenance reports audits and CAPA implementation.
- Support plant expansion automation and modernization projects.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical and utility maintenance.
- Expertise in preventive & predictive maintenance systems.
- Knowledge of TPM Lean Kaizen Root Cause Analysis and CAPA.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership and team management capability.
- Good knowledge of safety standards and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in SAP/ERP and maintenance management systems.
Qualification
- B.E./ in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- MBA/Additional technical certifications preferred
Experience
- 1218 years of experience in plant maintenance in manufacturing/chemical/cement/building materials/FMCG industries.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role handling large maintenance teams.
