Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Designer - BIM ELV with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in ELV BIM modelling and coordination. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Autodesk Revit and be capable of working on both large-scale building projects and technically complex Data Center Healthcare Sports Arenas project experience.

The ideal candidate should be able to understand ELV design intent develop accurate BIM models coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and deliver quality outputs within project deadlines with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ELV BIM models using Autodesk Revit in accordance with project requirements and BIM standards.
  • Interpret ELV engineering drawings specifications design markups and design intent and accurately translate them into BIM models.
  • Prepare and maintain ELV layouts containment layouts schematics sections details and documentation.
  • Coordinate ELV systems with Electrical HVAC PHE Architectural and Structural disciplines.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary coordination and identify potential clashes at an early stage.
  • Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks and Revizto.
  • Carry out regular self-checks and model quality checks before submitting deliverables.
  • Ensure models comply with project-specific BIM standards BEP modelling guidelines and LOD requirements.
  • Support project teams during design development coordination and critical submission stages.
  • Work closely with Engineers BIM Leads and project stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve modelling and coordination issues.
  • Maintain project models and incorporate design changes and engineering comments within agreed timelines.
  • Proactively identify modelling and coordination issues and communicate them to the BIM Lead/Engineer.
  • Support and guide junior BIM modelers where required.

ELV Systems Experience

The candidate should have experience in modelling and coordinating some or all of the following ELV systems:

  • Structured Cabling / ICT
  • Data and Telecommunications
  • CCTV
  • Access Control
  • Public Address / Voice Evacuation
  • Fire Alarm
  • Audio Visual Systems
  • Security Systems
  • Building Management System (BMS) interfaces
  • Intercom
  • SMATV / IPTV
  • Master Clock
  • DAS / Wireless systems
  • GRMS
  • Other specialist ELV systems as applicable to the project

Data Center Healthcare Sports Arenas project experience  Highly Desirable

Candidates with Data Center Healthcare Sports Arenas project experience will be strongly preferred.

Experience should include ELV modelling and coordination within technically complex Data Center environments including:

  • Data halls and technical spaces
  • Network and telecommunications rooms
  • Security and access control systems
  • CCTV systems
  • Structured cabling
  • Fire alarm systems
  • BMS/monitoring interfaces
  • ELV containment and pathways
  • Coordination within high-density MEP service areas
  • Riser and technical room coordination
  • Coordination with electrical and mechanical infrastructure

Experience working within high-density containment environments and technically complex spaces will be an advantage.

Building Project Experience

The candidate should also have experience working on large-scale building projects such as:

  • Commercial buildings
  • Residential developments
  • Hotels
  • Hospitals
  • Airports
  • Retail and mixed-use developments
  • High-rise buildings
  • Hospitality projects
  • Infrastructure and public buildings

Exposure to Middle East projects will be an advantage.

Required Software Skills

  • Autodesk Revit Advanced/Intermediate ELV modelling
  • Navisworks Clash detection and coordination
  • Revizto Model coordination and issue/clash management
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / CDE experience preferred
  • AutoCAD knowledge preferred

  • Willingness to learn new ELV technologies and BIM workflows

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of ELV BIM/Revit experience with a combination of building and Data Center project exposure. The candidate should be comfortable working in multidisciplinary BIM environments and capable of independently developing coordinated ELV models from engineering information and design intent.

Data Center experience Middle East project exposure and strong proficiency in Revit Navisworks and Revizto will be considered significant advantages.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Diploma / Bachelors degree in Electrical Electronics Telecommunications IT or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant ELV BIM/Revit experience.
  • Proven experience working on both building projects and/or Data Center Healthcare Sports Arenas project experience.
  • Strong practical experience in Revit-based ELV modelling.
  • Experience working across different project design stages preferably from Design Development through IFC.
  • Middle East project experience will be an added advantage.
