Job Summary

Roll Off Roll/Contractual

Location Bangalore / Hyderabad

## Core Responsibilities

The role is multifaceted involving everything from initial sketches to overseeing the final installation.

### 1. Technical Design & Engineering

System Development: Developing detailed designs for facade systems such as curtain walls rainscreens point-fixed glazing and stone cladding.
Structural Analysis: Performing calculations to ensure the facade can withstand wind loads seismic forces and thermal expansion.
Material Selection: Choosing appropriate glass types metals and sealants based on performance requirements (U-values G-values and acoustic ratings).

### 2. Documentation & Modeling

CAD & BIM: Creating complex 2D technical drawings and 3D models using software like AutoCAD Revit or Rhino/Grasshopper.
Shop Drawings: Reviewing and approving fabrication drawings to ensure they align with the design intent and safety standards.
Thermal Analysis: Using software (like THERM or LBNL WINDOW) to simulate heat transfer and prevent condensation issues.

### 3. Project Management & Collaboration

Cross-Functional Synergy: Coordinating with Architects to maintain aesthetic vision and with Structural Engineers to ensure the building frame can support the facades weight.
Site Inspections: Visiting construction sites to monitor installation quality and resolve technical issues on the fly.
Testing: Overseeing laboratory mock-up tests (PMU) for air leakage water penetration and structural integrity.

## Essential Skills & Qualifications

Category	Requirements
Education	Bachelors degree in Civil Structural or Mechanical Engineering (or Architecture with a technical focus).
Software	Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit (BIM) and RPA/Parametric tools (like Grasshopper) is highly valued.
Technical Knowledge	Deep understanding of building physics thermodynamics and material science.
Standards	Knowledge of local building codes and international standards (e.g. ASTM BS EN or CWCT).
