Design Architect

In Wilhelmsen Port Services we provide our customers with peace of mind while we handle their cargo theirvesselsand their crew. We handle 75000 port calls per year which means that every 7 minutes anywhere around the world we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. We match localexpertisewith strict global standards making sure we consistently make our customers port calls as efficient and safe as possible.

Who you are:

You are a visionary design leader with extensive experience architecting user experiences for complexenterprise applications. You bring both creative excellence and technical depth driving design systemsgoverning implementation quality and working closely with architects and engineers to deliver outstandingdigital products.

What you will be doing:

• Own the end-to-end design architecture for complex custom-built enterprise applications acrossweb mobile and tablet platforms

• Lead experience and interaction design for custom Salesforce implementations as well asnon-Salesforce applications

• Work closely with Enterprise Architect development testing and support teams to ensuredesigns are scalable usable and technicallyfeasible

• Translate business and functional requirements into user journeys interaction flows wireframesand high-fidelity designs

• Definemaintain and govern the design system in Figma including reusable componentspatterns and libraries

• Ensure alignment with Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) while supporting custom UIrequirements

• Ensure designs support custom development performance accessibility and cross-deviceconsistency

• Review and guide UI implementation in collaboration with developers (LWC and custom UIframeworks)

• Mentor and guide UI Developers and Visual Designers providing architectural and designgovernance

• Independently own design for large modules or applications end-to-end from concept throughdelivery

• Participate in design reviews usability validation and stakeholder walkthroughs

• Support workshops design reviews and on-site engagements; travel as

experience andskills:

• 15 years of experience in UX/UI experience design or application design roles

• Extensive experience designing custom enterprise applications

• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce platforms including Lightning Experience andcustom UI constraints

• Provenexpertiseusing Figma including design system creation and ongoing maintenance

• Experience designing for web mobile and tablet form factors

• Deep understanding of user-centred design principles accessibility and enterprise UX standards

• Ability to work independently and drive design decisions with minimal supervision

• Strong collaboration experience with architects developers and QA teams

• Excellent communication mentoring and stakeholder engagement skills

• Advanced experience with Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS)

• Background in large-scale custom Salesforce development programmes

• Domain experience in Maritime / Shipping / Logistics (nice to have)

Preferred Certifications

• Nielsen Norman Group (NN/g) UX Certification

• Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) Human Factors International (HFI)

• Interaction Design Foundation (IDF) UX Design or Interaction Design specialisation

• Salesforce Certified Administrator
