Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and technically strongDeputy General Manager - Mechanicalto lead mechanical maintenance and plant reliability operations in an integrated sugar manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the sugar industry strong leadership capabilities and proven expertise in maintenance planning reliability improvement cost control and statutory compliance.

Educational Qualification

  • B.E./ in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering may be considered for candidates with exceptional relevant experience.
  • Additional certification inANSI/AVSIwill be an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum20 years of experiencein the sugar industry.
  • Should be currently working asAGM - Mechanical or above with at least5 years of experience at AGM level or higher.
  • Strong experience in integrated sugar plant mechanical maintenance and plant reliability.
  • Proven exposure to preventive predictive and breakdown maintenance.
  • Experience in budgeting cost control spare-parts management and maintenance planning.
  • Strong understanding of statutory compliance and industrial safety practices.

Key Technical Exposure

  • Milling and cane-handling equipment.
  • Boilers and cogeneration systems.
  • Breakdown analysis and root-cause analysis.
  • Reliability improvement and equipment performance optimization.
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
  • Maintenance planning shutdown planning and execution.
  • Team leadership and manpower management.
  • Distillery operations and maintenance exposure will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical maintenance function across the sugar plant and associated operations.
  • Ensure maximum equipment availability and plant reliability through effective maintenance strategies.
  • Plan and monitor preventive predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring equipment failures.
  • Oversee maintenance of milling cane-handling boiler cogeneration and other critical plant equipment.
  • Prepare and control maintenance budgets operating costs and spare-parts requirements.
  • Ensure timely planning and execution of annual maintenance and shutdown activities.
  • Develop and mentor the mechanical maintenance team.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements safety standards and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction energy efficiency and reliability enhancement.

Preferred Profile

  • Age:Around 50 years or below.
  • Candidates fromKarnataka Telangana Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Naduare preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively inKannadawill be preferred.
  • Candidates currently working with reputed sugar factories and demonstrating proven leadership in mechanical maintenance and plant reliability are strongly preferred.
