Role description: Helps to ensure stable and well-performing Oracle solutions that meet business demand.

Role accountabilities:

Individual accountabilities

Collaboration:

• Proactively engages with Key Business Users to receive feedback gauge satisfaction with system integrations and address issues or concerns.
• Collaborates with GSI Solutions Director to gather requirements and prioritize data transformation projects.
• Collaborates with GSI Team to deliver efficient and well-run processes.

Application and Extension Services

• Design develop and optimize complex PL/SQL procedures functions packages and triggers.
• Architect and implement scalable and maintainable database schemas to support business applications and analytics.
• Collaborate with data architects analysts and application developers to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines using Oracle tools and custom scripts.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
• Participate in code reviews data modeling sessions and architectural discussions.
• Ensure database security backup and recovery strategies are in place and effective.
• Document database designs processes and procedures.

Vendor Management

• Coordinates with 3rd parties who provide support for product enhancements upgrades patches and application monitoring

Key shared accountabilities

• Partnership with other Technical Towers Lanes and teams to achieve goals and exceed business expectations
• Partnership with Data Tower
• Oracle SOP and KBA development with GSI team
• Oracle service disruptions announcements and EU communications with GSI team
• Release Management with GEA teams and Tech CAB
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• 7 years of experience in Oracle database development.
• Demonstrated experience successfully planning and implementing Cloud database servicesin a global company with a multi-national multi-vendor environment.
• Proven track record of achieving service excellenceincluding maintaining positive stakeholder relationships and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams with internal and external resources.
• Skills:
  • Primary:SQL and PL/SQL data modeling schema design data normalization/denormalization database architecture performance tuning and indexing strategies.
  • Secondary:Orchestration & Choreography Architectures
