Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Install configure administer and maintain database environments.
- Manage and support databases such as SAP HANA MaxDB MS SQL Server or MySQL.
- Perform database upgrades patching and version migrations.
- Monitor database performance availability capacity and health.
- Perform data migration and database maintenance activities.
- Manage database objects including tables indexes constraints and views.
- Troubleshoot database performance and connectivity issues.
- Provide support for large and complex database landscapes.
- Perform backup recovery and disaster recovery activities.
- Support database security access management and user administration.
- Work on incident problem and change management following ITIL processes.
- Collaborate with application infrastructure and technical teams to resolve database-related issues.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Provide production support and participate in on-call activities when required.
Required Skills
- 5 years of experience in Database Administration.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of:
- SAP HANA
- SAP MaxDB
- Microsoft SQL Server
- MySQL
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience in database installation and configuration.
- Experience with database upgrades and patching.
- Hands-on experience with data migration.
- Good understanding of tables indexes constraints and views.
- Experience supporting large database landscapes.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery concepts.
- Experience with ITIL Incident and Problem Management.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
